The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league competition in India. In the annual competition, 8 franchises from different cities of India participate. The league competition was established in 2007 by BCCI member Lolit Modi and was held in April and May every year.The IPL sponsor is Vivo Electronics, it is officially known as the Vivo Indian Premier League. Their current champions Mumbai Indians.
